Chocolate Makes Progress
Darren and Lori Kisor's five year old dog Basil is a Chocolate Lab whose back right leg had been showing significant signs of soreness and stiffness after exercise. They recall, "Initially we were concerned that it was a slight tear of her meniscus or ACL. After a visit or two to Black Dog Rehab, Darcy was able to discover the source of the problem. A video we had recorded shed some light on the matter indicating that a tendon running from her knee down to her paw was likely the source," and say, "Darcy dove in excitedly to work towards healing Basil's tendon through functional dry needling, massage, electric and laser therapies." Through these treatments and Basil's response, the Kisors were confident that Darcy had nailed the source of Basil's trouble.
"Basil is usually apprehensive about all things Veterinary related but she loves Darcy, who really worked to make her feel comfortable during the process." They add, "It's as if Basil knows Darcy is trying to help her and get her leg back to functioning normally."
Now Basil is definitely showing fewer signs of discomfort and, "we look forward to the progress ahead," the family says, "We are so grateful to have such an amazing resource in our community "big thanks to Darcy and the whole team at Black Dog Rehab."
